The Verdict, Before the Detail
LeoVegas finishes 11th of the 15 UK casinos we rank. It earns the place on the things it has always been known for: two well-rated apps, 200+ live tables and a lobby of 3250+ games from more than sixty studios.
The welcome offer is one of the cleaner ones on our table. Fifty free spins, and what they win is paid as cash, with no wagering on the winnings.
The weak point is the return. LeoVegas publishes a payout rate of 92.50% - 94.25%, the lowest range on our table, where most of the others publish 96% or more.
Licence 39198, held by LeoVegas Gaming PLC. Checked on the Gambling Commission’s public register the week this review was written.
- Apps rated 4.50 on the App Store and 4.10 on Google Play, both under 12 MB
- 50 free spins whose winnings are paid as cash, with no wagering on them
- PayPal withdrawals quoted at one to twelve hours, from a £10 minimum and with no fees on any method
- 200+ live tables from Evolution, Pragmatic Play, Playtech, Ezugi and On Air, from a penny a hand
- Deposit, loss and time limits, reality checks from every 15 minutes, and a time-out from 24 hours
- A published payout rate of 92.50% - 94.25%, the lowest range on our table
- No Skrill, Neteller or Paysafecard: seven ways to pay in, and fewer of them are wallets than at most rivals
- Card and Apple Pay withdrawals take one to three days; Trustly and TrueLayer up to five
- Identity checks are quoted at up to 72 hours, longer than most casinos on our table
- Email support answers in “up to a few days”, and there is no phone line

The Licence, on the Register
A pass or fail, and LeoVegas passes: the licence is current on the Gambling Commission’s own register, not merely claimed in the footer.
The brand was founded in 2011 and has held its UK licence since 2014; the account is held by a Malta company. The company, the licence number and the small print are set out further down.
What the Games Return
92.50% - 94.25% across the site is the lowest range published by any of the 15 casinos we rank. Every other operator on our table publishes 94.45% or more, and most publish 96%.
The game-by-game figures look better: 99.54% on 3D Blackjack, 97.30% on European Roulette and 98.20% across the baccarat tables. The site-wide figure is what players actually got back, so it is the one we score.
What It Costs to Play
The £5 ceiling on a slot spin (£2 if you are 18 to 24) is the UK legal maximum and the same at every casino we rank.
The software tables run to £2,000 a hand on roulette and blackjack; the live floor runs from a penny to £10,000, with Privé Lounge Baccarat at the top end.
Getting Money Out
One to twelve hours to PayPal; one to three days to a debit card or Apple Pay; up to five days through Trustly or TrueLayer.
PayPal is among the quicker wallet payouts on our table, though Grosvenor, Coral and Ladbrokes quote less. Nothing is charged on any method. What each method costs and how long it takes is below.
The Phone Experience
This is the part LeoVegas built its name on. One app on each store, rated 4.50 on the iPhone and 4.10 on Android, both small downloads. The two apps side by side are further down.
The Games
3250+ games in total, of which 2970+ are slots. Read how the rest breaks down before you assume a big number means a big choice.
| Category | How many | Average RTP | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Slots | 2970+ | 99.00% | Highest is Book of 99, at 99.00% |
| Jackpot games | 140+ | 96.90% | The biggest pot published is £31M; progressives return less than the base game |
| Roulette | 40+ | 97.30% | European Roulette is the best of them |
| Blackjack | 25+ | 99.60% | 99.54% on 3D Blackjack |
| Baccarat | 10+ | 98.20% | Banker, Player and Tie; our guide has what each one costs |
| Video poker | 7 | 97.79% | Full-pay tables only; our video poker page explains why the paytable matters |
| All table games | 80+ | 99.60% | Includes 1 casino poker variants |
| Live tables | 200+ | – | Lowest-stake pick: Money Time; high-limit pick: Privé Lounge Baccarat |
The Jackpot Exception
The 140+ jackpot games return 96.90% on average, and the headline progressive, 9 Pots of Gold King Millions, is listed at 90.50%.
That is not unique to LeoVegas: every progressive works this way, because the pot is funded out of the base game. We point it out because the jackpot games get the loudest promotion and the least attention paid to their RTP.
Stakes, from the Smallest to the Largest
LeoVegas publishes its table limits. These are the ones that matter.
| Slots | £0.01 – £5 |
|---|---|
| Roulette | £0.10 – £2,000 |
| Blackjack | £0.50 – £2,000 |
| Baccarat | £0.50 – £1,000 |
| Live tables | £0.01 – £10,000 |
Slots are capped at £5 a spin (£2 if you are 18 to 24) at every UK-licensed casino since 2025, so this is not a LeoVegas decision.
The tables are not capped the same way. A penny at the bottom of the live floor is as low as any casino we rank goes; the cheapest seat LeoVegas points to is Money Time, and the top of the range is the standard £10,000 Evolution ceiling.
The Welcome Offer
LeoVegas’s casino offer is 50 Free Spins on Big Bass Splash. Opt in when you register, deposit at least £10 within seven days, and play that deposit through once on eligible casino games.
Read the small print before you opt in. The spins are Wager-Free: what they win is paid as cash. The only play-through is your own £10 deposit, once, which you would have staked anyway.
Slots count 100% towards that, roulette and blackjack 10%, and the live casino nothing at all. The spins are worth £0.10 each and expire 3 Days after they land.
That makes it one of the cleaner offers on our table, and LeoVegas is on our list of no-wagering free spins for that reason. The value is modest, fifty spins at 10p, but there is no catch hidden in it.
LeoVegas also runs a sportsbook with its own sign-up offer of free bets. It is a sports promotion, not a casino one, and the two are opted into separately.
Paying in and Getting Paid
Seven ways in and six ways out: everything except Google Pay has a quoted withdrawal time. PayPal is the quick route; the cards and Apple Pay are the middle one; Trustly and TrueLayer are the slow one.
| Method | Paying in | Getting paid | Minimum | Most per deposit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Visa debit | Instant | 1 – 3 Days | £10 | £3,000 |
| Mastercard debit | Instant | 1 – 3 Days | £10 | £3,000 |
| PayPal | Instant | 1 – 12 Hours | £10 | £1,000 |
| Apple Pay | Instant | 1 – 3 Days | £5 | £1,000 |
| Google Pay | Instant | Not Listed | £10 | Not Listed |
| Trustly | Instant | up to 5 days | £10 | Not Listed |
| TrueLayer (instant bank) | Instant | 2 – 5 days | £10 | £10,000 |
Money goes back the way it came in, from a £10 minimum. The last column is the most you can put in per deposit, not the most you can take out; a single TrueLayer withdrawal can reach £35,000.
Nothing is charged on any method in either direction. Apple Pay is the one route in from £5; every other method starts at £10.
One thing to know: under a 2019 rule LeoVegas verifies your name, address and date of birth before you can gamble, which it quotes at 12 to 72 hours. Extra checks at withdrawal are only allowed for things it could not have asked for earlier.
Credit cards cannot be used for gambling anywhere in Britain. That has been the rule since April 2020, and it is not a LeoVegas policy. Any Visa or Mastercard option above is debit only.
Who Makes the Games
More than sixty studios supply the slots, and five supply the live floor. The names matter more than the count: they are what decides whether the games you already like are here.
- Pragmatic Play: Gates of Olympus, Sweet Bonanza and the Big Bass family, including Big Bass Splash for the welcome spins
- NetEnt and Red Tiger: Starburst, Gonzo’s Quest and Dead or Alive
- Play’n GO: Book of Dead and Reactoonz
- Big Time Gaming, Relax Gaming and ELK Studios: the Megaways titles, Money Train and the cluster games
- Hacksaw Gaming and Nolimit City: the higher-volatility end of the lobby
- Blueprint Gaming, Eyecon, Barcrest, IGT and Playtech: Fishin’ Frenzy, Deal or No Deal, the Age of the Gods jackpots and the pub-slot classics
- Evolution: the bulk of the 200+ live tables, with Pragmatic Play Live, Playtech, Ezugi and On Air alongside
On a Phone
LeoVegas started as a mobile casino and has collected industry awards for it, including Mobile Operator of the Year at the 2023 International Gaming Awards. On a phone, it feels built for the screen rather than adapted to it.
There is one app on each store. The iPhone app is rated 4.50, the Android one 4.10, and both are light downloads at around 10 MB.
Neither shows the kind of complaint pattern that would make us send you to the browser instead, and the sportsbook sits behind the same sign-in as the casino.
The mobile site is the fallback on either phone: the same account and the same games in a browser, with nothing to install.
| iPhone and iPad | Android | |
|---|---|---|
| Store rating | 4.50 | 4.10 |
| Size | 11.5 MB | 10 MB |
| Needs | iOS 8.0 or later | Android 8.0 and up |
The two apps are close enough that the choice is your phone, not the app. Both carry the casino, the live floor and the sportsbook, and both are among the smallest downloads on our table.
Getting Started
Five steps, in the order that saves the most time. None of them takes five minutes.
Check the Licence Yourself
Search 39198 on the Gambling Commission’s public register. The account belongs to LeoVegas Gaming PLC, and the casino line should read Active. Thirty seconds, and it is the one check no review can do on your behalf.
Register, Opt In, and Verify the Same Day
The welcome spins need an opt-in at registration, and LeoVegas has to check who you are before you can gamble, so upload the documents while you are signing up.
Photograph a passport or driving licence, and a bank statement or utility bill dated inside the last three months. LeoVegas quotes 12 to 72 hours; left until later, the same check delays your first withdrawal.
Set the Deposit Limit Before the First Deposit
Account settings, then the limit you want: daily, weekly or monthly deposit and loss limits, a cap on time logged in, and reality checks every 15, 30, 60 or 90 minutes.
A lower limit takes effect the moment you set it; a higher one cannot, because every UK licensee has to wait before more money can go in. Time-outs run from 24 hours to six weeks, self-exclusion from six months.
Claim the Spins Before You Play Anything Else
Deposit £10, play it through once on slots, and the 50 spins on Big Bass Splash follow. Live games do not count, and roulette and blackjack count only 10%.
Use the spins inside three days. What they win is cash and can be withdrawn straight away.
Pick PayPal for the Way Out
PayPal withdrawals are quoted at one to twelve hours; a debit card or Apple Pay at one to three days; Trustly and TrueLayer at up to five.
Money goes back the way it came in, so if speed on the way out matters to you, pay in with PayPal in the first place.

If Something Goes Wrong
- First, the casino
- Live chat or support@leovegas.co.uk. Under the rules every UK licensee works to, it has eight weeks to settle a complaint.
- Then, an adjudicator
- I.B.A.S. decides disputes LeoVegas cannot settle. It is independent of the casino and free to the player.
- Independently checked by
- eCOGRA, I.B.A.S.
- Shutting yourself out
- GamCare, GAMSTOP. GAMSTOP blocks every UK-licensed site at once, not just this one
Support is the ordinary part. Live chat runs around the clock and answers straight away; email is slow, and there is no phone number to ring.
The safety tools are the strong part. LeoVegas runs its own LeoSafePlay programme on top of the standard UK set, and the reality checks and time-outs are easier to find than at most casinos on our table.
If LeoVegas Is Not the One
Or start from the top: our full ranking of 15 UK casinos puts every one of them side by side on the same five checks used above.
In Short
LeoVegas is a mobile-first casino that still does phones better than most, with two well-rated apps, 200+ live tables, a wager-free welcome offer and PayPal payouts quoted in hours.
What keeps it in the lower half of our ranking is specific: a published payout rate of 92.50% - 94.25%, the lowest on our table, fewer wallets than its rivals, and identity checks that can run to three days.
If you play on a phone and pay by PayPal, it is a comfortable place to do it. If the long-run return matters most to you, the casinos above it pay back more.
