What We Do
TopCasinos.org.uk is a comparison site for online casinos that hold a remote licence from the UK Gambling Commission. We collect the figures an operator publishes, check the ones that can be checked, and put them side by side so you can see the differences without opening ten tabs.
We are not a casino and we do not take bets or hold anyone’s money. What you get from us is a comparison and a set of reviews; the decision stays yours.
How We Rate a Casino
Every rating on this site breaks down into the same five criteria. Open any row in a comparison table and you will see them scored individually, not just the headline number.
Bonus Value
What the offer is worth once the wagering multiple, the maximum cashout and the game weighting are taken into account.
Game Range
How many games the casino carries and how many studios they come from. A large library from three providers is not the same as a large library from a hundred.
Payments & Payouts
The published payout rate, how many deposit methods are supported, and the withdrawal window the operator commits to in its own terms.
Safety & Licence
The UKGC licence, looked up on the public register, plus the deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion tools the casino offers.
Support
Which channels exist, the hours they are staffed, and the response time the operator states for each of them.
How We Check an Operator
The same four steps, in the same order, for every casino on the site.
-
Check the Licence First
The operator’s licence number is looked up on the UK Gambling Commission public register. If there is no live remote licence covering Great Britain, the casino does not go on the site, whatever else it offers.
-
Read the Offer Terms in Full
We take the wagering multiple, the minimum deposit, the maximum cashout and the expiry straight from the operator’s own terms, not from the banner. Offers above 10x are not permitted under the Gambling Commission’s rules since January 2026 and do not appear here.
-
Record What the Casino Carries
Game counts, the studios behind them, the deposit and withdrawal methods, the published payout rate and the stated withdrawal window. Everything goes into the same fields, so the comparison is like for like.
-
Leave the Gaps Empty Instead of Filling Them
Where an operator will not confirm a figure, the field is left blank. It stays that way until we have the number from a source we can point at.
How We Finance Ourselves
We are paid through affiliate links. If you open an account with a casino after following a link from this site, we may receive a commission from that operator. It costs you nothing and it does not change the offer you get.
What it does mean is this: a comparison site with commercial links has an incentive to flatter the operators it lists. Our answer to that is the rating breakdown. Every score is split into criteria you can inspect, and a figure we have not been able to confirm is left out, not smoothed over.
We list only operators that hold a UKGC licence, including ones we have no commercial arrangement with.
Who Writes This
Every page carries the name of the person who produced it and the person who checked it against the UKGC register.
Edits the casino reviews and the comparison tables, and owns the rating criteria.
Checks every page against the UK Gambling Commission’s advertising rules and the operators’ own terms before it is published.
What You Will Not Find Here
Some of these are UK advertising rules. The rest are ours.
-
Casinos without a live UKGC licenceIncluding operators licensed elsewhere that accept UK players anyway.
-
Credit cards or cryptocurrency as deposit methodsCredit cards are banned for gambling in Great Britain; cryptocurrency is not banned, but no UK-licensed casino we list accepts it.
-
Offers above a 10x wagering requirementNot permitted under the Gambling Commission’s rules since January 2026, so they do not appear here.
-
Urgency language, or any promise of an outcomeNo “risk-free”, no talk of winning, and no call to action that pushes you to act this second.
-
Imagery aimed at anyone under 18No cartoon characters, no images of money or winnings, and nobody who could be read as under 25.
-
Figures we cannot stand behindAn unverified number is left out, never published as an estimate dressed up as a fact.
Where We Are Based

Gambling Should Stay Entertainment
Gambling is something you pay for, not a way to make money. Set a deposit limit before you play, never chase a loss, and only ever stake what you would be content to lose. Every casino we list is required to offer deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion. Use them.
Free and independent help is available from GambleAware, from the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133, and through GamStop, which blocks you from every UK-licensed gambling site at once.
