The Verdict, Before the Detail
Coral finishes 2nd of the 15 UK casinos we rank, and it does it on size.
It has the biggest lobby on our table at 6100+ games, the most ways to pay in and out, a welcome offer whose spins pay as cash, and a licence held by one of the largest operators in the country.
What stops it finishing first is not the casino. It is a public reputation that trails the product, and a verification check that is slower than the money.
Licence 54743, held by LC International Limited, part of Entain, since July 2019. Checked on the Gambling Commission’s public register the week this review was written.
- 100 free spins for a £10 deposit and £10 of slot play, with no wagering on what they win
- 5355+ slots from close to sixty studios, the widest choice of any casino we rank
- Twelve ways to pay, and PayPal, Google Pay and Neteller withdrawals quoted inside eight hours
- 137+ live tables from Evolution, Playtech and Pragmatic Play
- Live chat 24/7 with a stated five-minute reply, and a published phone number
- A 1.2 score on Trustpilot, the weakest public reputation of any casino near the top of our table
- Verification is quoted at 24 to 48 hours, and nothing pays out until it is done
- The welcome offer cannot be claimed on a PayPal, Neteller or Paysafecard deposit
- Card withdrawals take one to three days; the wallets are the only fast route out
- Only 2 software baccarat tables; the baccarat is almost entirely on the live floor

The Licence, on the Register
A pass or fail, and Coral passes: the licence is current on the Gambling Commission’s own register, not merely claimed in the footer, and it belongs to a company that also runs Ladbrokes and a chain of betting shops.
The company, the licence number and the small print are set out further down.
What the Games Return
96.27% across the site is a little above the middle of the 15 casinos we rank. The published figures by category are the ones to read: 99.60% on blackjack, 97.30% on roulette, and, unusually, a jackpot range that returns more than the slots do.
What It Costs to Play
The £5 ceiling on a slot spin (£2 if you are 18 to 24) is the UK legal maximum and the same at every casino we rank.
The tables start at ten pence and run to £2,500 a hand on blackjack, which covers almost everybody; the live floor goes to £10,000.
Getting Money Out
Within eight hours to PayPal, Google Pay or Neteller, one to three days to a card. The wallets match the fastest casinos we rank; the cards do not.
What slows everyone down is the first withdrawal, because Coral quotes 24 to 48 hours for the identity check. What each method costs and how long it takes is below.
The Phone Experience
Apps on both stores and a mobile site that carries the full lobby. The casino shares its sign-in with the sportsbook, the bingo and the shop account, which is convenient if you use the rest of Coral and irrelevant if you do not. More on the phone further down.
The Games
6100+ games in total, of which 5355+ are slots. That is the largest lobby in our table by some distance, so read how the rest breaks down before you assume a big number means a big choice.
| Category | How many | Average RTP | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Slots | 5355+ | 96.00% | From close to sixty studios, Playtech and Light & Wonder among them |
| Jackpot games | 140+ | 96.80% | Above the site average, which is rare for a jackpot range |
| Roulette | 35+ | 97.30% | The single-zero tables; see our roulette guide for why that matters |
| Blackjack | 20+ | 99.60% | The best return on the site, played by the chart |
| Baccarat | 2 | 98.00% | Thin on the software side; 22+ live tables make up for it |
| All table games | 65+ | 96.70% | Includes video poker at 99.60% |
| Live tables | 137+ | – | 44+ blackjack, 41+ roulette, 27+ game shows |
The Jackpot Exception, the Other Way Round
At most casinos the jackpot range is where the return falls off, because the pot is funded out of the base game. Coral’s 140+ jackpot games average 96.80%, above the site’s 96.27%, which is the opposite of the usual pattern and worth knowing if those are the games you play.
It does not change the arithmetic of a progressive: the pot still comes out of every spin, and any one jackpot title may sit well below that average.
Check the RTP in the game’s own info panel before you pick one; the category figure is a guide to the range, not to the game in front of you.
Stakes, from the Smallest to the Largest
Coral publishes its table limits. These are the ones that matter.
| Slots | £0.01 – £5 |
|---|---|
| Roulette | £0.10 – £1,000 |
| Blackjack | £0.10 – £2,500 |
| Baccarat | £0.10 – £2,000 |
| Live tables | £0.10 – £10,000 |
Slots are capped at £5 a spin (£2 if you are 18 to 24) at every UK-licensed casino since 2025, so this is not a Coral decision.
The tables are not capped the same way, and ten pence at the bottom of every one of them is lower than most of the casinos we rank.
The Welcome Offer
Coral’s casino offer is deposit and bet £10, get 100 free spins on a list of selected slots. It is a play-based offer, not a deposit match: you deposit at least £10, stake £10 of it on slots, and the spins are credited for you to accept.
Two things in the small print decide whether this is as good as it looks. The first is in your favour: the spins are worth 10p each, £10 in total, and what they win is wager-free, paid as cash rather than as bonus funds with a multiple attached.
The second is not: a deposit by PayPal, Neteller or Paysafecard does not qualify, so pay in by debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay if you want the offer. You have 48 hours to accept the spins once they arrive and seven days to use them.
Coral also runs a sports welcome offer (£30 in free bets, as six £5 bets, after a £5 bet at odds of 1/2 or better within 14 days) and a separate bingo offer.
They are promotions for the other products, not the casino, and the free bet stake is not returned with your winnings.
Paying in and Getting Paid
Twelve ways in and thirteen ways out, and the casino charges nothing on any of them. The wallets are the quick route: PayPal, Google Pay, Paysafecard and Neteller are all quoted inside eight hours, where a card takes one to three days.
| Method | Paying in | Getting paid | Minimum | Most per deposit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Visa debit | Instant | 1 – 3 Days | £5 | £2,500 |
| Mastercard debit | Instant | 1 – 3 Days | £5 | £2,500 |
| Apple Pay | 1 – 3 Days | 1 – 3 Days | £5 | £2,500 |
| Google Pay | Instant | Within 8 hours | £5 | £2,500 |
| PayPal | Instant | Within 8 hours | £10 | £2,500 |
| Paysafecard | Instant | Within 8 hours | £10 | – |
| Skrill | Instant | Up to 24 hours | £5 | £2,500 |
| Neteller | Instant | Within 8 hours | £10 | £2,500 |
| Instant bank transfer | Instant | 1 – 5 Days | £5 | £2,500 |
| Bank transfer | Not available | 2 –4 Days | £5 | – |
Money goes back the way it came in, from a £5 minimum (£10 on the e-wallets), and nothing on the way out has a stated ceiling; the last column is the most you can put in per deposit, not the most you can take out.
One thing to know: under a 2019 rule Coral verifies your name, address and date of birth before you can gamble, which it quotes at 24 to 48 hours, and extra checks at withdrawal are only allowed for things it could not have asked for earlier.
Credit cards cannot be used for gambling anywhere in Britain. That has been the rule since April 2020, and it is not a Coral policy. The Visa, Mastercard and Maestro options are debit only.
Who Makes the Games
Close to sixty studios supply the slots, and three supply the live floor. The names matter more than the count: they are what decides whether the games you already like are here.
- Playtech: the house supplier across Entain, with the Age of the Gods jackpots and much of the live floor
- Blueprint Gaming and Reel Time Gaming: Fishin’ Frenzy, Eye of Horus and the rest of the titles the welcome spins are played on
- Pragmatic Play: Big Bass, Gates of Olympus and Sweet Bonanza
- Play’n GO, Red Tiger and NetEnt: Book of Dead, the daily-drop range and Starburst
- Big Time Gaming, Relax Gaming and Hacksaw Gaming: the Megaways titles and the higher-volatility end
- Light & Wonder, IGT and Barcrest: the familiar pub and arcade titles
- Evolution: most of the 137+ live tables, with Playtech Live and Pragmatic Play Live alongside
On a Phone
Coral has been a phone-first bookmaker for a decade, and the casino rides on the same app.
There is an app on both stores, and it is the whole of Coral in one download: the sportsbook, the casino, the live floor and the bingo behind one sign-in. If you came for the casino alone that is more app than you need, and the mobile site is the lighter way in.
The mobile site is the fallback on either phone: the same account and the same games in a browser, with nothing to install, and nothing in the casino lobby is missing from it. Pick whichever you will open more often; the odds and the offer are the same on both.
One practical note for Android: Google Play only lists gambling apps from licensed operators in Great Britain, and Coral’s is one of them, so there is no need to download it from the website as there once was.
Install from the store, or do not install at all and use Chrome.
Getting Started
Five steps, in the order that saves the most time. None of them takes five minutes.
Check the licence yourself
Search 54743 on the Gambling Commission’s public register. The account belongs to LC International Limited, the Entain company that also holds Ladbrokes, and the casino line should read Active, from 1 July 2019, to Current. Thirty seconds, and it is the one check no review can do on your behalf.
Register, and verify the same day
Coral has to check who you are before you can gamble, and it quotes 24 to 48 hours for the check, so upload the documents while you are signing up rather than at the first withdrawal. Photograph a passport or driving licence, and a bank statement or utility bill dated inside the last three months, and send both at registration. If you already hold a Coral shop card or a sports account, it is the same account and the check is already done.
Set the deposit limit before the first deposit
Account settings, then daily, weekly or monthly; Coral offers all three, plus monthly and annual loss limits. A lower limit takes effect the moment you set it; a higher one cannot, because every UK licensee has to wait and ask you again before more money can go in. Time-outs run from 24 hours to six weeks, and self-exclusion from six months to five years, in the same place.
Pay in by card, then price the offer
The welcome spins do not trigger on a PayPal, Neteller or Paysafecard deposit, so make the first one by debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Then: deposit £10, stake £10 on slots, accept the 100 spins within 48 hours and use them within seven days. At the site’s 96.27% average return, £10 of stakes costs around 40p in expected losses, and that is the price of £10 of spins whose winnings are paid as cash.
Pick the wallet, not the card, for the way out
PayPal, Google Pay, Paysafecard and Neteller withdrawals are quoted inside eight hours; a card at one to three days and a bank transfer at two to four. Money goes back the way it came in, so once the offer is behind you, switch to a wallet for deposits if speed on the way out matters to you.

If something goes wrong
- First, the casino
- Live chat, the phone line or the contact form. Under the rules every UK licensee works to, it has eight weeks to settle a complaint.
- Then, an adjudicator
- I.B.A.S. decides disputes Coral cannot settle. It is independent of the casino and free to the player, and its ruling binds the casino for awards up to £10,000, not you.
- Independently checked by
- eCOGRA
- Shutting yourself out
- GamCare, GAMSTOP, GamProtect. GAMSTOP blocks every UK-licensed site at once, not just this one
Independent opinion runs well below ours: Coral scores 1.2 on Trustpilot and 3.69 on Reviews.io, across the whole business, shops and sportsbook included.
A brand this size collects more complaints than a small one simply by having more customers, and most of what is written there is about bet settlement and account closures rather than the casino.
It is still the weakest public score of any casino near the top of our table, and the reason this review does not finish first.
If Coral Is Not the One
Or start from the top: our full ranking of 15 UK casinos puts every one of them side by side on the same five checks used above.
In Short
Coral is the casino we rank second, and the reasons are specific: the biggest lobby on the table, twelve ways to pay with the wallets paid out inside eight hours, a welcome offer whose spin winnings are cash, and a licence held by one of the largest operators in Britain.
What holds it back is also specific: a verification check quoted at up to two days, an offer that cannot be claimed on an e-wallet deposit, and a public reputation that trails the product.
If you already bet or play bingo with Coral, the casino is the obvious place to carry on. If you are choosing on the casino alone, our first-placed casino is the stronger start.
